“Starry Night” by Vincent Van Gogh

Moving through this world like forging your way through heavy plastic
Molecules dense and greedy even for your tiny space it becomes harder to breathe as they crowd around pushing in on you from all sides everyone striving to be stuck stable solid it’s like not moving at all
I’ve watched in awe at those who do move
as if with divine permission or
‘Permission’ meaning nothing to them at all
They don’t know the solid state of the rest of us but they lean on us for
rest or
what must I do to cast off those who wish to erase me or harden me into statue
how can I make my world plasmic?
but would I just be playing god then bending space to fit my blinded vision even if it means blindly doing
violence to the wills of others?

Rarely do I meet the words of a prophetic poet whose
who exercises the truth of what God did
Speaking the world into being
Letting the drip of ambrosial
Love caress the shoulders of the weary
and the palms of the worldly
and the eyes of the wicked
But when I do I am able to breathe again
as the encroachers radiate outward
and we all realize how like starlight
we must move on and not inhabit a point in the universe
Because they’re watching
They’re waiting for
the right words.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and liking Dark Days. Most of my visitors are there long enough to read one or two of the shorter ones, n’ then they go on to another site.
